After a six-month hiatus, Mama Lek has moved to a new home, maturing from a Setapak hawker stall into a full-fledged restaurant in Wisma Cosway, simmering with soul-soothing Thai beef noodles.
In reverence to the maternal Isaan roots of Mama Lek’s co-founder, the noodle bowl speaks of time, love and tenderness, brimming with braised beef, tripe, tendon, tongue and beef balls in broth that’s rich in natural bovine sweetness.
Each serving surfaces with your choice of cuts, rounded out with radish, coriander, kangkung and fried garlic, complete with supple sen lek rice noodles, kanom jeen noodles, glass noodles or rice.
Tom yum noodle bowls and chicken noodle soup are also available. Stir-fried basil chicken or beef rice platters will be ready by next month.
