In July, Alma by Juan Amador announced its imminent closure.

Now another one-Michelin-starred establishment has followed suit, Restaurant Euphoria.

Chef-owner Jason Tan took to his personal Instagram page to announce the closure of his restaurant in Tras Street on Friday (Aug 8).

Known for its French-style ‘gastro-botanica’, the restaurant’s last day of service was on Aug 2.

In the caption of the announcement post, chef Jason thanked his fans for their support over the last five years.

He added: “Running this little restaurant has been more than a business — it’s been a dream, and you’ve made it truly meaningful.”

“Your smiles, stories, and support have filled our space with warmth and purpose.”

The 43-year-old is looking to step back for now as he considers a “rethink” regarding his distinctive cuisine.

Whatever his future holds, cooking quality and honest food for customers remain top on his list, he said.

There is also a possibility of him entering a consultancy role for F&B businesses.

“I’m also excited to share my experiences with the next generation of young chefs, and to contribute my expertise to other areas of the F&B industry,” he shared.

AsiaOne has reached out to chef Jason for more information.

Having been in the profession for more than 20 years, he has cooked at the highest level —  from Corner House, a French restaurant that’s held its Michelin star under him from 2016 to 2020, to Euphoria.

Euphoria, which opened in 2020, earned its first Michelin star in 2022 and has retained it yearly ever since.

In March, Euphoria was one of seven Singapore establishments to have made it on the annual Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant 2025.

Ranked 48th, its highest position on the list was 20th in 2024.
