2025 has seen a surge in Korean bakery pop-ups, including B For Bagel, which offered over 30 bagel flavours, and Standard Bun, famous for their mocha buns. This time, Yoon Yeon Dang has graced Suntec City with their popular fruit cakes, a variety of salt bread flavours and more.

We’ve tried all kinds of bread at different Korean bakery pop-ups in Singapore, but having a whole fruit cake was a first.

Yoon Yeon Dang is known for their fruit cakes that weigh 1kg each! Their Mango Cake ($70) is particularly popular, so we got one to try.

This stunning cake features sponge cake, a thick layer of velvety smooth milk cream, and lots of fresh and sweet mango chunks. Unlike your typical cakes, which are sliced and eaten with a fork, this Mango Cake is meant to be scooped with a spoon.

Speaking of cream cake, we also had the dreamy Snowflake Cream Cake ($25). Known to be the bakery’s best-seller, this fluffy sponge cake is packed with fresh cream.

It’s so soft and airy that your spoon plunges nicely into the cake without creating a mess.

Moving on to our favourite, we tried a box of six salt breads AKA shio pan. There are 12 flavours on display.

If you prefer your bread plain and simple, we recommend the Plain Salt Bread ($4), which has the classic shio pan texture that’s soft and chewy, with a crispy base and buttery aftertaste.

The Black Sesame Cream Salt Bread ($7.50) is also worth trying, though a tad steep in price. It comes loaded with a rich, nutty black sesame cream, and is covered with fragrant black sesame powder on the outside.

There’s also the Matcha Cream Salt Bread ($7.50), which replaces the black sesame cream with fresh matcha milk cream and powder. The shio pan comes with a matcha chocolate shell.

For something especially popular among Koreans, get the An Butter Salt Bread ($5.90), which features a winning combination of sweet red bean paste and a generous slab of butter.

Alternatively, the Garlic Salt Bread ($6.50) and Green Onion Cream Cheese ($6.50) are safe bets as they are familiar flavours commonly found in other Korean bakeries.

Yoon-Yeon-Dang- drinks

Breads are not all, as there’s even a drinks menu separated into coffee and non-coffee options. We got an iced Cream Latte ($7) and a Strawberry Matcha Foam Latte ($7). The latte leans milky, while the strawberry matcha latte is creamy with the earthy-bitter matcha notes taking a backseat.
