Udon hunters, this one is for you: the legendary Udon Shin, known for its super long queues at their Tokyo store, has announced their first international expansion into Singapore in November 2025!

10 Udon Restaurants In Singapore For Tokyo-Viral Flat Noodles, Handmade Udon And More

The udon speciality restaurant attracts throngs of both foreigners and locals alike at their Tokyo outlet between Shinjuku and Yoyogi, with long queues forming way before they open at 11am daily. It was named as the “Best Udon in Tokyo” by Time Out, and was listed by TripAdvisor as their “2020 Traveller’s Choice”.

Udon Shin’s udon noodles are made fresh in-house daily, and their food is served promptly. It is more than likely that you can try similar menu items at their upcoming Singapore outlet.

Their most popular item is the Udon Noodles in Soup with Tempura, a no-frills offering at most udon stores. This item allows you to savour their silky udon with the crisp tempura, which includes shrimp, vegetables and more. You can also have the udon served cold.

Another popular and creative menu item is the Udon Carbonara, which went viral with its unique combination of udon with raw egg, parmesan cheese, butter, and bacon tempura. This dish is said to be excellently creamy, with the hallmark fried bacon being sinfully decadent.
