1. Bread Yard

Those working or studying near One-north can add Bread Yard to their list of lunch or dinner spots. There are six kinds of pasta on the menu, with everything priced at just $8++ each. Of course, you can pay a little more to add on ingredients, but the pasta is delicious on its own. We enjoyed the Miso Cream Pasta, made with miso butter and grana padano cheese, as well as the Mentaiko Pasta. For the latter, we recommend adding an Onsen Egg ($2++) and Smoked Salmon ($6++) for the best experience.

2. Tipo Pasta Bar

Pasta lovers may be familiar with Tipo Pasta Bar, a Muslim-owned restaurant that specialises in handmade pasta. Formerly located along North Bridge Road, they’ve since relocated to a larger space along Aliwal Street and Waterloo Street. Here, you can Build Your Own Pasta for a base price of $9.90++.
Some unique pasta options include Radiatori, which are short, squat pasta with ruffled edges; Creste De Gallo, characterised by its curved tubular shape; and Gemelli, which sees single S-shaped pasta strands twisted into a spiral. We recommend pairing the pasta with their fragrant pink sauce, a tomato cream pasta with aromatic floral undertones.

Other good options include the Spaghetti Seafood Aglio Olio ($24++), which comes with a generous amount of seafood, including squid, prawns, and clams, tossed in olive oil and garlic and then topped with some parsley for garnish.

Go for their most popular choice—Truffle Shuffle Shrooms ($11.90), starring sauteed mushrooms laid on a bed of mushroom pappardelle ricce in creamy truffle sauce, topped with a poached egg. For something spicy, their Mango Tango ($12.90) is a good choice, featuring squid ink spaghetti with prawns and mango salsa.
