Torikizoku to open in Telok Ayer with famous yakitori
Fans of Japan’s popular yakitori chain Torikizoku have something new to look forward to, as the brand prepares to open its second Singapore outlet at 18 Cross, a four-minute walk from Telok Ayer MRT Station. The new location is set to offer the same casual, high-energy izakaya experience that made the VivoCity outlet a hit, combining affordable skewers and drinks under one roof.
Torikizoku is known for its standardised pricing, with all skewers and small plates priced at $3.90++ each, making it a wallet-friendly option for both casual nights out and after-work gatherings.

Japan-Famous Torikizoku Opens At VivoCity With $3.90++ Yakitori—Is It Worth A Try?
The menu features a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetable skewers, alongside shareable plates and side dishes. When we visited the VivoCity outlet, we enjoyed the Signature Kizokuyaki skewers, available in both breast and thigh cuts, along with chunks of leek. Diners can choose from three signature seasonings: Rock Salt, Sauce, and Spice.
Other popular skewer varieties include Stuffed Bell Pepper with Ponzu, Grilled Liver with Sesame Oil, and Pork Belly.
Interesting, our favourite dish during our visit was the Chicken Nanban, where deep-fried chicken chunks were served with tartar sauce. The fried chicken was thick, juicy, and lightly battered, while the rich and creamy tartar sauce complemented them beautifully.
While the exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, Torikizoku’s new CBD outlet is expected to draw the same crowds as the first, offering both locals and visitors a convenient spot to enjoy Japanese yakitori without breaking the bank.
