Nesuto opens cafe at ION Orchard with new menu

ICYMI: Homegrown patisserie Nesuto has opened a new outlet at ION Orchard, marking its third location. Dubbed Cafe Nesuto, the new Orchard cafe brings over several signature dishes from the brand’s OG menu, while also introducing exclusive creations unique to this outlet.

From the signature mains, highlights include the Braised Miso Chicken Leg ($24++), served with creamy mashed potatoes, broccolini, genmai, and a miso sake cream sauce. Alternatively, go for the Chicken Breast with Charred Corn & Greens ($22++), which combines tender chicken with a mesclun salad, charred corn kernels, and yuzu soy dressing.

ION Orchard exclusives include both savoury pies and dessert offerings. The Chicken Open-Face Pie ($14++) pairs braised chicken and genmai, AKA roasted brown rice green tea, with a rich potato cream sauce, atop a flaky pie crust, while the Braised Oxtail Open-Face Pie ($16++) features tender oxtail, pickled mustard seeds, and creamy potato sauce on a similar crust.

Dessert options at the new outlet include inventive interpretations of classic flavours. For instance, the Singapore Sling Cake (price TBD) takes inspiration from the iconic cocktail, layering vanilla sponge with coconut mousse, cherry compote, and pineapple-lime compote. There’s also a Matcha Red Bean Cake (price TBD) that pairs fluffy matcha sponge with smooth red bean cream.

Fans of fruit-forward desserts can try the Strawberry Crumble Tart ($12++), an outlet-exclusive comprising housemade strawberry and raspberry jam, almond cream, and a demerara sugar crumble. Another must-try is the Banana Cream Pie Soft Serve Parfait ($15++), which combines bananas, miso caramel, chocolate streusel, pie sticks, and soft serve from Narita Dream Farm in Japan.
Besides the new desserts and mains, you’ll also find Nesuto’s signature cake slices by the counter, in flavours such as Matcha Chestnut ($12.90++) and Chocolate Orange ($11.20++).
