Whether you’re a young Padawan or Jedi Master, this pop-up in the east is likely to pique your interest.
The National Library Board (NLB) has launched Singapore’s first Star Wars pop-up library on Wednesday (Aug 6), as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
Located on level two of Changi Airport Terminal 3, near the Skytrain and linkbridge to Jewel, the pop-up library is set to run till Jan 24, 2026.
Fans can look forward to a vast collection of more than 2,000 Star Wars books including 380 unique titles, from Star Wars: Darth Vader comic series and Star Wars: The Mandalorian just to name a few.
Beyond just books, the pop-up library also offers a variety of Star Wars-themed activities.
The interactive zone includes a personality quiz where patrons can find out which Star Wars Jedi they most look like. There is also a trivia challenge for those looking to test their wits when it comes to their Star Wars knowledge.
And if you’re there for just the vibes, iconic Star Wars backdrops provide great opportunities to snap a photo or two.
NLB is also piloting an automated book retrieval and return system.
Patrons can select the titles through a touch-screen kiosk, and a robotic arm would locate and transport the titles to the collection point.
The robotic arm also handles book returns and shelving operations, allowing the pop-up library to function largely autonomously.
Location: Changi Airport Terminal 3, level two (near Skytrain and linkbridge to Jewel)
Opening hours: 10am to 10pm, now till Jan 24, 2026
