Ara Damansara’s new Flaky is the first contemporary spinoff of Tai Zi Ta, the mini-tart specialist with a legacy birthed in Ampang nearly three decades ago.
Flaky brings those time-treasured egg, coconut, pandan and pineapple tarts to PJ, plus pork-free mini chicken siew bao and kaya puffs (RM1.50 each, RM12 for ten).
These mouthfuls of classic comfort, oven-fresh every morning, prove crisp-crumbled and custardy-cored. The flagship egg tarts are as delicately flaky as the store’s name promises, partnered with Nutella lattes.
