We’re back for more at Trattoria Mialino, feasting on sourdough ciabatta sandwiches and flatbreads layered with Italian cured meats, plus plenty of pastas with personality.

REXKL’s terrific new casual kitchen celebrates comfort food with a blend of passionate tradition and playful twists, curated by a Malaysian chef with over a decade of professional experience in Italian cuisine.

Mialino’s menu reads like a love letter to rustic Italian cold cuts: Speck, porchetta, guanciale, pistachio-studded mortadella and salami seize the spotlight, thickly folded through herb-laced, hand-stacked sandwiches, flatbreads and mighty meat platters.
Pasta and risotto offer a contemporary perspective on cherished classics: The Shepherd Carbonara is lush with pork cheek and goat’s milk; the White Duck offers hand-pulled confit in creamy duck sauce; Nduja Puttanesca is bold with briny, tangy spiciness.
Come hungry for heartiness: Named after maialino (‘little pig’ in Italian), this indulgent destination honours the soulful warmth of trattorias, with a comprehensive menu that spans an Italian fisherman’s soup to fritto misto, full-bodied with robust flavours.

For sandwiches and platters, select from slices of Italian porchetta (moist pork belly stuffed with garlic and herbs), guanciale al pepe (pork cheeks cured with black pepper, buttery and velvety), speck (air-cured pork leg with a smoky depth), mortadella (silky pork sausage with pistachios and cubed fat), beef pepperoni, rosemary lamb and more.

Sandwiches are lined with your personal choice of aromatic meat (pork salami pictured above) in artisanal sourdough herbed ciabatta, luscious and lively with balsamic tomato salad, crushed peppers, mozzarella and white sauce. 

Tasty, tender and textured, these are irresistibly addictive. You can savour them regularly, customising the sandwiches with your pick of ham plus extra sauces (from pesto to truffle sauce, Caesar aioli to garlic hot sauce), sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella and more.

Craving more crunch? Check out the Folded Flatbread sourdough selection, baked with tomato sauce and mozzarella, brimming with your choice of meat and balsamic rocket leaves.

The Pesto Porchetta is our recommendation, featuring porchetta with green basil pesto, crushed pepper and olive oil; other options include truffle speck, lamb steak, olive mortadella and Calabrese salami in choice of pork or beef.

We love the Shepherd Carbonara Gnocchi (gorgeous with a unique sauce of fresh goat’s milk, blanketed with pork cheeks, Grana Padano cheese, golden egg yolk and crushed pepper), White Duck Elicoidali (showered with succulent hand-pulled duck confit in gentle duck sauce) and Clam & Butter Spaghetti (flanked by short neck asari clams in umami-rich seaweed butter, tossed with lemon sake and olive oil for a bridge between Italian and Japanese inspirations).
Other pasta choices include crowd-pleasers like Green Pesto, Truffle Mushroom or Garlic Lemon Guanciale. Mushroom or tomato arborio risotto are also available for al dente allure.

Bites for snacking or sharing span the Fisherman’s Soup (a catch of squid and prawns in tomato broth infused with garlic, herbs and a touch of chilli oil cream, served with sourdough toast) to the Meat Platter (with three types of cured meat, comprising speck, mortadella and pork salami, with pesto, spicy garlic olives, hard cheese and sourdough toast).
