Like many of you, our team is a huge fan of dim sum, as you can tell from our curated guides to the best dim sum in Singapore and affordable dim sum buffets. Adding to our list of must-visit eateries is Richman Dim Sum. This newly opened stall in Ubi is helmed by an ex-restaurant chef with over 30 years of experience at big names such as Crystal Jade and Mercure Hotel. You’ll find a wide selection of more than 40 dishes here, priced from just $2.90.

The stall is located within Yang Ming Seafood, a popular zi char eatery frequented by many regulars for their lobster chee cheong fun and more.

Besides the usual Hand-chopped Siew Mai ($4.80), Chilli Oil Wanton ($4.80), or Crispy Egg Tart ($5.80), we recommend trying something new and unique at Richman Dim Sum while you’re here. A good example is their Crispy Popiah Rice Rolls ($6.80), which features crispy popiah skin, dried shrimps, and cai poh wrapped in velvety smooth cheong fun.

The $2.90 item here is the Fresh Shrimp Yong Tau Foo, which comes deep-fried in a beautiful golden brown and doused in spicy chilli sauce.

Another interesting item is the Coconut & Salted Egg Layer Cake ($5.80), which is said to be a rare find in Singapore due to its laborious preparation process. You get layers of soft, fluffy dough, salted duck egg bits, and desiccated coconut that’s finer in texture than shredded coconut.

Impress your dining companions with the adorable Crispy Taro Swans ($6.80), which are essentially thin, crispy pastries packed with sweet taro paste within.

After you’re done with the feast, round off with some sweet treats. There are a total of six desserts on the menu, including the Signature Richman’s Chocolate Yogurt Bear in Avocado Puree ($6.80), said to be a must-try. You get smooth and buttery avocado paired with rich chocolately notes!

The newly opened stall is a quick six-minute walk from Ubi MRT Station. They just opened their doors to the public, so please extend some grace when you experience any hiccups along the way.
