Hometown Hainan Coffee launches vibrant new space in Hextar World Empire City

Hometown Hainan Coffee has launched its latest location in Hextar World Empire City, bringing authentic Malaysian food favourites to a vibrantly sunlit space for the Damansara Perdana neighbourhood.

Fusing contemporary and classic charm partly inspired by European elegance, Hometown Hainan Coffee promises its popular selection that spans Kaya Butter Round Buns to Lum Mee Suah to Curry Mee with Poached Chicken, plus modern marvels like Grilled Beef Rice Bowls and Hainanese Kaya Mille Crepe.

Fun fact: This is Hometown Hainan Coffee’s 26th outpost, crafted for customers to savour relaxing conversations amid a cheerful, colourful ambiance.

Freshly opened on 18 March 2026, Hometown Hainan Coffee has fast become a bustling stop in Hextar World Empire City. When we visited for lunch, it was lively with families, friends and colleagues enjoying Hainan chicken chop, char kuey teow, chicken rice and much more.

For a comforting kopitiam-inflected snack or light meal, order the Kaya Butter Round Buns, a staple for breakfast and beyond, featuring fluffy-soft steamed buns with butter and rich house-made kaya. This traditional Hainanese kaya is captivating, made with 100% natural ingredients, slow-cooked for 8 hours to ensure a pronounced flavour with silky smoothness. 

Also highly recommended, the Taro + Cheese French Toast is part of a recent limited-time menu that became so beloved, it’s now a permanent pleasure. Golden-crisp to the bite, warm and tender inside, it perfectly pairs earthy-sweet taro with creamy-savoury cheese, sandwiched thickly with melting butter on top. Absolutely addictive.

For hot, hearty bowls to fuel your appetite, order the local delights like Lum Mee Suah, a nostalgic home-style recipe with slick noodles in luscious gravy, rounded out with shrimp and egg for complete sustenance, and Curry Mee with Poached Chicken, fragrantly bold with superbly succulent meat in aromatic curry broth.

Rice bowl enthusiasts can relish the Grilled Beef Rice Bowl with Onsen Egg and Hainan Sauce, embracing Malaysian and Japanese influences with juicy grilled beef and a joyfully runny egg, jazzed up with a gently tangy sauce. A one-of-a-kind Hometown creation.

A protein powerhouse: The NZ Grilled Lamb Chop showcases premium New Zealand-raised lamb with a clean, fleshy bite, moist and mouthwatering with black pepper sauce. Hugely ideal for hungry afternoons, generous with fries and coleslaw for a full-bodied platter.
