Crunch & Cups is a hidden Vietnamese stall in Ang Mo Kio
Tucked away in a new Ang Mo Kio BTO estate, Crunch & Cups is a modest stall that offers a surprisingly wide range of Vietnamese food and drinks. While there’s a small table outside if you’re planning to dine in, its setup suggests it’s designed primarily for takeaway.

The Saigon Banh Mi here costs $6.90, and comes packed with many of the usual suspects—veggies, meat slices, pork floss and more, all in a crunchy, sizeable baguette. While it didn’t blow us away, its affordability makes it well worth a try.
For some noodles, try the Spicy Beef Noodle from HUE ($10.90), which seems to be a take on the Vietnamese dish bun bo hue.
For those who haven’t tried this dish before, imagine a spicier version of pho that’s equally aromatic and with thicker noodles. There were also various cuts of beef in the broth, including beef balls, shank and more.
If you’d like a rice dish, give the classic Grilled Pork with Broken Rice ($8.90) a shot. Along with a mound of fluffy broken rice, you get two sunny-side-up eggs and pork chops, grilled till succulent and perfect with fish sauce.
Complete your meal with some Vietnamese coffee. We recommend the Ice Salted Coffee ($4.90), which we found to be milky, subtly savoury, and robust. If you’re not a fan of the saltiness, however, the good ol’ Ice White Coffee ($4.90) will do the trick.
Though small in size, Crunch & Cups delivers solid, wallet-friendly Vietnamese staples. Do consider checking it out if you’re in the area!
