Holey Crocs has “crocs” waffles with charms at pasar malam
Working at Eatbook has exposed me to a fair share of weird foods, so I’d like to think I have a decent threshold for odd-looking snacks. What I was not prepared for, however, was coming across edible “Crocs” waffles at a pasar malam. They’re sold by a local vendor by the name of Holey Crocs, which currently has two bazaar pop-ups: Tampines MRT till 30 June, and Yishun MRT till 13 July.
Freshly made to order, these waffles are shaped to resemble Crocs sandals, and even come with edible “Jibbitz” charms on top!

There are eight flavours to choose from, including Cream Cheese Oreo and Kinder Rush, a nod to the popular Kinder Bueno chocolate bar. Priced between $10 to $12, each serving comes with two waffles.
As every wafffle is baked to order, expect to wait for a while before you get them. It seems like a panda-infused waffle batter is used, as the waffle came with a greenish tinge and a fragrant pandan scent.
Each waffle is dressed in your choice of topping, then decorated with sprinkles and a charm on each side.
If you don’t have a sweet tooth, get the Cheesy Cheese ($10) flavour.
It’s drenched in a neon pink sauce, which we thought we could do without as it didn’t add much flavour. You don’t get a huge cheese pull here, but the stretchy mozzarella complements the slighty sweet pandan batter.
One thing to note: As the shape of these waffles is uneven, you can expect the middle to be significantly thicker than the other parts. The centremost of the waffles are doughy with an almost kueh-like texture, while the sides are a tad crispy.
Speculoos fans can order the Biscoff Bites ($12), where two “Crocs” waffles are dressed in a creamy white chocolate and Biscoff drizzle.
These waffles were our favourite flavour; they came with a crunchy caramelised biscuit centre that added texture and flavour.
The Jibbitz featured on these waffles were also the cutest!
If you love your pistachio desserts, consider the PistaCrush ($12), generously topped with pistachio white chocolate drizzle and packed with pistachio cream.

This flavour was way too sweet for our liking, so we recommend sharing it with other pistachio fans.
