- Where to get the best froyo in Singapore
1. llaollao

Amid the recent froyo craze, I’ll never forget how llaollao sparked its own frenzy when the Spanish froyo chain debuted in Singapore. As a froyo pioneer, the iconic Sanum ($9.70) needs no introduction. You get to customise your parfait with the choice of three fruits, two crunches, and one sauce.
What I like the most about llaollao is the wide range of sauces to choose from and how they drizzle generous amounts of them each time. My top picks are the Pistachio and Hazelnut sauces, which pair perfectly with the icy yoghurt.

2. Yole

Another cult-favourite has got to be Yole. To date, the froyo chain has opened 10 outlets in Singapore, remaining a familiar go-to for many. Priding itself on zero sugar and zero dairy added to its froyo, it’s perfect for lactose-intolerant folks or those looking for a guilt-free dessert.
Froyo Cups start from $5.90 and come in three sizes: small, medium, and large, with medium being their top-seller priced at $6.90 for two toppings. If that’s not enough, extra toppings are available at a top-up of $0.80 per topping. The mango popping boba is a fan favourite, adding bright bursts of mango syrup in each bite. They even offer ice cream and a cone option too.

3. Yo-Chi

Singaporeans have gone feral over the resurgence of the DIY froyo concept, and we definitely have Yo-Chi Frozen Yoghurt to thank for that. The Aussie froyo brand has taken Singapore by storm, with froyo lovers and curious passers-by alike braving the queues for their very own bowl.
Fans love the nostalgic self-serve experience, priced at $3.50/100g. With over 10 flavours to choose from, popular picks include Signature Tart, Mango and Acai. No froyo is complete without toppings, and here you’ll find over 30 choices such as fresh fruits, edible cookie dough, and brownies. Singapore-exclusive toppings include coconut jelly and nata de coco. If you’re spoilt for choice, we recommend pairing the Salted Butterscotch flavour with their strawberry mochi for a sweet and salty combo.

4. Smooy

I remember rushing to Smooy after school for a quick froyo fix, and here you get the same tangy goodness in four different flavours: Natural Yogurt, Chocolate, Cream, and Special. The latter is a rotation of both weekly and seasonal flavours, ranging from Cookie, Coconut, Strawberry, and Matcha, as seen in their previous drops across their 11 outlets.
As usual, you get to pick your size from mini to maxi, from $5.50 to $7.50 respectively. Choose your desired toppings, including Spanish classics such as Dulce de Leche and smociola (AKA cocoa with hazelnuts) or healthier crunches such as almonds and granola.

5. Yoajung

Hailing from Korea, Yoajung is a famous froyo chain that went viral for its Korean spin on froyo. Located in *SCAPE, you can save your flight ticket to Korea and head to Somerset to try it for yourself.
Best known for its unique selection of toppings, the Honey Comb ($7) is the main highlight that sets Yoajung apart from its competitors. Other special toppings include Oreo O’s Cereal ($1.50), Dalgona Candy ($1.50) and Brown Rice Crunch ($1.30), to name a few. 6. Yogeek

A recent froyo newbie that has gotten its fair share of traction is Yogeek. Recently opened on Haji Lane, the self-service froyo shop offers a fixed rate of $4.50/100g. Unlike your usual froyo shop, Yogeek dispenses high-quality Greek frozen yoghurt, making for a healthier, high-protein option.
Pick from four flavours: Original, Biscoff, Mango, or Acai, and pile on the toppings to your heart’s content. The biggest draw would be their Scoopable Cookie, which tastes just as good as it sounds. They also have Chocolate Brownies for a rich chocolate flavour. If you prefer something lighter, top your yoghurt off with a sprinkle of sea salt and olive oil for a subtle pop of flavour.

7. Cocobella Lifebar

Cocobella Lifebar is yet another froyo brand from Australia. Alluding to the brand’s name, the star ingredient here is coconut, incorporated into all of their products. Situated in One Holland Village, the shop’s interior boasts a beachy Hawaiian vibe, with many online citing this spot as their go-to place to chill or study.
Their froyo is dairy-free and vegan-friendly, with a range of unique flavours such as Apple Crumble and Taro Town. If you prefer a tangier treat, opt for the aesthetically pleasing Berry Go Round, featuring strawberry coconut yoghurt topped with fresh strawberries, raspberry crumble, and mini marshmallows. Two sizes are up for grabs, with the small going for $7 and the regular going for $9. P.S. Their yoghurt can also be found in various supermarkets islandwide, so you can enjoy a cup from the comfort of home.

8. Kumoyo

OG froyo fans would remember Yami Yoghurt for their affordable fruity yoghurt, especially the beloved peach flavour. Now known as Kumoyo, the brand went through a facelift and is still offering fruity favourites we all know and love. While the classic peach flavour remains on the menu, they’ve introduced other seasonal fruity options, including Grape, Green Apple and a new fan favourite: Lychee.
Kumoyo also happens to be the most economical option on the list, with their Peach and Natural yoghurt priced at $4.90 per cup. Apart from froyo, you can opt for soft-serve yoghurt if you prefer something creamier. Do note that toppings are only available for the soft-serve option, priced according to this tier: Regular ($0.80), Premium ($1), and Supreme ($2).

9. Nakoko

Aside from local delights, Lau Pa Sat is home to Nakoko, which serves up froyo and dairy-free acai soft serve. Here, prices for a cup depend on the soft serve base you choose. The Yoghurt costs $6.20 for a medium and $7.70 for a large. They also offer Acai and Chocolate flavours. For generous portions, go for the sundae, which sees your toppings sandwiched between two layers of soft serve.
Here’s the best part: There are a total of four drizzles and 18 healthy toppings to choose from, including lesser-known ones such as Dried Thai Mango, Dark Chocolate, and Dried Blueberry. As for the drizzles, there are Pistachio, Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut Praline, and Almond Nut Butter, with the former said to have a strong, nutty taste.

10. Yogurt Planet

Best known for its stretchy yoghurt consistency, popular Chinese chain Yogurt Planet first opened its doors in Millenia Walk last year. Though each bowl size has a fixed price of $6.60 for Small, $8.90 for Medium and $10.90 for Large, the self-serve topping bar allows you to add unlimited servings of your favourite toppings, including fresh fruits, jelly-coated barley, haw flakes, mini cookies and more.
The bright green storefront isn’t the only striking thing, for their Emerald, Strawberry, and Sea Coconut flavours come in bold hues of pastel green, pink, and blue, respectively. We recommend trying the Emerald and Sea Coconut. The former had a subtle grape flavour, while the latter had pleasant notes of coconut that complemented the gooey yoghurt well. Though they don’t serve froyo per se, we wanted to include it here as we thought it was an interesting find!
