A new 3,000-capacity live entertainment venue is set to open in the heart of Orchard Road by mid-2027, Live Nation announced on Monday (Aug 31).
Named Grange House, the new purpose-built venue is developed with support from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
It is intended to bring more artists, tours and cultural experiences to Singapore, while filling what Live Nation described as an “important gap” between the city’s smaller venues as well as its large-scale arenas and stadiums.
Grange House takes over the space formerly occupied by the open-air carpark along Grange Road in the Somerset area.
“Singapore has been an important market for Live Nation since launching in 2006,” said Edward Liu, Managing Director of Live Nation Singapore.
“During that time, we’ve invested in our local team, built strong partnerships and brought an incredible range of artists and live experiences to fans here.”
Live Nation is the promoter behind some of Singapore’s largest concerts, including upcoming ones from Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and Babymonster.
“We continue to see enormous potential for live entertainment in Singapore, and Grange House is the next step in that journey.”
According to the entertainment company, Grange House’s name reflects the “ambition behind the venue” — which is to create a home for live entertainment, culture and community.
Designed by its in-house design and development team Blueprint Studio, the venue will pair “exceptional acoustics and sightlines with bespoke hospitality”, curated food and drink options, as well as artist facilities that meet international touring standards, it said.
Beyond show nights, Grange House’s indoor and outdoor spaces have also been designed for people to gather throughout the day, including a landscaped terrace, as well as an all-day cafe and restaurant.
Here, community talks, podcasts and public events can take place.
Additionally, a walkway linking 313@Somerset and the venue will feature rotating art, exhibitions and pop-ups, alongside a foyer where people can dine, unwind and gather before and after shows.
Grange House will also contribute to the continued rejuvenation of Orchard Road in collaboration with Lendlease Global Commercial REIT by providing year-round live entertainment, community programming and cultural experiences to create new reasons for locals and visitors to spend time in the precinct while supporting retailers, restaurants and businesses around it.

Earlier in May, STB announced the Orchard Road Rejuvenation Plan, which aims to enhance the shopping belt through street-level experiences and distinctive new spaces.
Just last month, Minister of State for National Development Alvin Tan announced the expansion of Istana Park as part of the rejuvenation — where an orchid-themed park, activity promenade and more recreational spaces were proposed as possible features in the National Parks Board’s plans to rejuvenate the Istana Park and Dhoby Ghaut area.
