Great World food guide
Great World, formerly known as Great World City, has never really been a mall I visit just to jalan jalan. That is, until the mall underwent a revamp and introduced a whole new roster of dining options. They’ve since levelled up with a focus on Japanese restaurants and kiosks, alongside other offerings such as hotpot, tofu gelato, and bakes from renowned F&B names.
The next time you want to head out to a mall for a meal but don’t want to jostle with the town crowd, try out Great World. Here’s our Great World food guide to get you started.

1. Windowsill Pies
Windowsill Pies, once a cozy cafe in Jalan Besar, now serves its homely bakes with a unique twist from its flagship store in Great World. Both whole pies and pies by the slice are available. The popular Strawberry Lemon Meringue Pie ($7.50/slice) features lemon curd and strawberry jam within a buttery crust, crowned with torched meringue. For sweeter alternatives, the S’mores Pie ($7.80/slice) or Banana Almond Brittle Pie ($7.30/slice) should do the trick. Keep your eyes peeled for their seasonal flavours too, such as the Key Lime Pie ($7.50/slice) or Pumpkin Pie ($7.80/slice). If you still can’t decide what to get, opt for their Assorted 10’s (from $75.00), which gets you all their best-selling flavours in one box.

We recommend the Argentinian Oyster Blade Steak Teppan ($25.90++ for 160g, $27.90++ for 200g), AKA marucha, for a thick and flavourful cut with fine marbling. What’s more—each teppan set gives you access to a free-flow salad bar, making your meal even more value for money!
