I’m Donut? is opening in Singapore

Frequent Japan visitors like me are probably familiar with I’m Donut, a Japanese doughnut chain that built a cult following for their fluffy nama doughnuts and has over 10 outlets in Japan. After announcing the launch of their first Malaysian outlet in KL, I’m Donut has just teased the opening of their first store in Singapore.

In case you don’t know, I’m Donut uses a brioche dough that’s enriched with pumpkin and fermented at low temperatures before it’s fried quickly at high heat. The doughnuts are then topped with a variety of creams and toppings made fresh in-house. The result is a light, airy, and clean-tasting doughnut said to melt in your mouth.

The menu for Singapore’s outlet isn’t out yet, but you can probably expect to see their best-selling I’m Donut? Original (price TBD), a powdered sugar doughnut made with the aforementioned brioche dough. Their Custard Cream (price TBD) is another popular variant, with Kyushu cream whipped into a smooth Diplomat cream and generously piped inside. Matcha lovers can also look forward to their popular I’m Donut? Matcha (price TBD), featuring dough that’s said to have been kneaded and fully coated with Yame matcha from Fukuoka.
