The hype surrounding Netflix’s popular Culinary Class Wars doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon. Not even a month after finalist Chef Jung Ho-young’s collab with Bulgogi Syo, Season One contestant Chef Min Yohan is making his Singapore debut with the opening of Bibim Deli. Located at Suntec City, the new restaurant serves up DIY bibimbap and a rotating lineup of authentic Korean banchan.

While he’s most known for his stint on the show, Chef Yohan has since gained a reputation in the culinary world after starting the Korea-famous banchan chain Dosigotan at the young age of 22. With the opening of Bibim Deli in Singapore, you can now have a taste of his signature recipes.

Unlike most places that serve bibimbap, each bowl here is fully customisable and priced by weight: $3.88++ per 100g.

FYI: As part of their opening promo, you can also get your meal for free if you guess the weight of your bowl correctly! Do note that the promotion will only run till 28 June 2026.

Start by filling your bowl with freshly steamed rice from the automatic rice dispenser. Each serving comes with a complimentary 150g of rice, but if you’re a big eater, fret not, as you can always get more from the free-flow rice bar at the back of the restaurant at no additional cost!

Thereafter, DIY your bowl with over 20 fresh ingredients and banchan, including seafood, meat, and veggie options.

As recommended by Chef Yohan, we paired the fluffy rice with fresh Water Spinach, QQ stir-fried Japchae, Kimchi, a creamy Sunny-Side-Up Egg, and Spicy Grilled Octopus, before finishing it off with a drizzle of spicy-sweet Gochujang Sauce and Sesame Oil for added fragrance. All this came out to be around 540g, or $20.95++.

The Grilled Octopus was our favourite side dish. Each piece was succulent, tender, and grilled to perfection for a smoky finish.

The Tteok Gangjeong was another standout, featuring soft and chewy rice cakes, fried till lightly crunchy, then slathered in a deliciously sweet and spicy sauce.

They also serve up fresh, juicy pieces of Korean Fried Chicken, which you can enjoy with a drizzle of their house-made soy and spicy gochujang sauces.

Don’t miss out on their Kimchi Mandu. Each dumpling is loaded with a mildly spicy and savoury kimchi filling, then fried till crispy.

Complete your meal with warm, comforting bowls of Free-Flow Korean Seaweed Soup ($2.88++). Otherwise, get one of their refreshing Free-Flow Drinks ($2.88++) instead, including the tangy-sweet Omija-cha, AKA magnolia berry tea, and Sikhye: a traditional sweet and fragrant Korean rice punch.
